FILTER SPACE
Opened in 2015, Filter Space is a location for exhibitions, workshops, artist talks, and other diverse programming centered around contemporary photography. Filter Photo’s goal is to build the Space into an open center for the photography community with a regular exhibition schedule and social, educational, and professional development activities in line with our mission to serve and support the photographic communities of Chicago and the Midwest and to highlight Chicago as a vital center of the national photographic community.
Filter Space is located in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood, at 1821 West Hubbard Street, Suite 207. The gallery is directly connected to LATITUDE, a not-for-profit digital lab where photographers and artists can produce work. Please contact us to learn more about the Space or to set up a gallery tour. Filter Space is always free and open to the public.
Filter Photo holds an open call for exhibition proposals annually. An exhibition review panel reviews proposals and selected applicants are invited to exhibit at Filter Space during the following eighteen-month period.
