CLOSING RECEPTION WITH THE CURATOR
Con(tra) El Archivo
Join us at Filter Space to celebrate the closing of our current group exhibition, Con(tra) El Archivo, where we'll be joined by curator, Alexa Ramirez Posada. Posada will lead an in-depth walkthrough of the exhibition and provide insight into the works on display, both individually and collectively. There will be a following conversation and Q&A to explore Posada’s approach to curation. A portion of the talk will be live-streamed on our Instagram for those who can't join us in person.
Through the work of three contemporary artists from the Latine diaspora, Con(tra) el Archivo confronts the romanticization of the archive and pushes us to reconsider the scope of a camera lens and imagine a world without an objective view-finder.
