Filter Photo is pleased to announce its first Members’ Exhibition, Prime.  Juror, Kat Kiernan, Director of Panopticon Gallery and Editor-in-Chief of Don’t Take Pictures magazine, chose five artists for an installation at Fogelson Studio.  All of the submitted work can be seen in an online exhibition, which represents the quality and breadth of work being produced by Filter Photo Members.  The online exhibition will be available from September 21 through October 14, 2017.

Thank you to Filter Photo for inviting me to jury the first members show. A members exhibition is different from other open calls for work. Each submitted portfolio, though different in style and subject matter, is part of a broader photographic community. While jurying this show, I kept this idea of community in the back of my mind, selecting five suites of images that are thematically strong and that represent the diverse approaches to photography that make up Filter Photo’s membership. – Kat Kiernan
