JoAnn Chaus

I am a fine art photographer based in the NY metro area, with two one year certificates from ICP in NYC. My work has been exhibited and received national and international recognition. For the last seven years I have focused on self portraiture exploring my many states of mind, as a representation of the complexity within each of us, often using costumes and props.

In each image I act out a scenario for the character, charged with emotional resonance, in a place and time. Each image is a dynamic composition, layered with hints and clues,
inviting the viewer to create a narrative of their own.
