Joann Carney

After several years in advertising photography I am now delighting in the world as I see it. For the last two years, my husband and I have been living in the small town of 500 people in which he spent his childhood.

This new life has encouraged me to appreciate slowing down and watching us age with many of the people he has known since childhood. It is in the spirit of the Japanese concept of "mono no aware" that I have recently been working. This triptych is a part of that series.
