A CONVERSATION WITH TOBI SHINOBI

Join us at Filter Space or via Zoom for this hybrid in-person/online event with photographers Tobi Shinobi and Sandro Miller. They’ll be discussing Tobi’s new book Equilibrium, published by Trope Editions, as well as the in’s and out’s of book publishing.

 

There will be a book signing following the talk. Online viewers can purchase books in advance which will be signed during the event and mailed afterward.

Award-winning photographer Tobi Shonibare – Tobi Shinobi to his followers – pushes the boundaries of symmetry and balance in his first book, Equilibrium. From his native London to his current Chicago home, and in far-flung locales around the world, Tobi’s photographs explore and deconstruct architecture and nature until they appear as optical illusions. The book's introduction is by Sandro Miller, a world-renowned commercial and fine art photographer consistently voted one of the top 200 advertising photographers in the world. His work has been honored at the Cannes Film Festival and the International Photography Awards, exhibited worldwide, and featured in Communication Arts, Esquire, GQ, Newsweek, The New Yorker, and Time.
