Coffee & Conversation with Eli Craven

Join us for coffee and conversation with current Filter Space exhibiting artist Eli Craven. Craven will discuss his exhibition, I Don’t Want to Fall In Love Again, which features recent works that meld together found and original imagery via sculptural, digital, and darkroom interventions.

Riffing on the everyday visual vernacular of self-help books, instructional guides, and family portraiture, Craven’s multimedia works dwell on the image’s relationships to the body, sexuality, desire, and death. Fragmented and warped, these compositions invite viewers to fill in the gaps of what’s missing in these photographs, and the possibilities of what they could hold.
