Editor for the new iteration of Candor Arts, For the Birds Trapped in Airports
Oriana Koren (they/them) is photographer, curator, writer and researcher. For the last decade, they have worked to visually dismantle revisionist histories around the cultural contributions African descendants have made in building American culture, with a specific focus on American cuisine + foodways and the use of optical technologies in aiding the erasure of Black contribution to American society. They are the Editor for the new iteration of Candor Arts, For the Birds Trapped in Airports and a founding member of the Authority Collective and an co-author of the Photo Bill of Rights.
