Natasha Ritsma

Natasha Ritsma is the Director of the Schingoethe Center at Aurora University. She has curated more than a dozen photography exhibitions in the Chicago area featuring artists such as Alice Hargrave, Tonika Lewis Johnson, Michelle Murphy, Steve Schapiro and Jeffery Wolin. Most recently she curated two multimedia exhibitions-- eARTh tones (2022)and No Place Like Home(2023)-- that included four artists she met at previous Filter Photo Festival Portfolio Reviews. She holds a PhD from Indiana University Bloomington and a MA from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign.

Ritsma is interested in photography focused on environmental and social justice issues.
