Marjorie Rawle

Marjorie Rawle is a curator, writer, and arts administrator who has worked in visual art spaces across the country for over ten years. She was the Terrana Assistant Curator at the Fitchburg Art Museum in Massachusetts for 3 years, before joining Assembly as Associate Gallery Director in 2022. Previously, she worked for many years in her native city of New Orleans—in curatorial departments at the New Orleans of Art, in artist-run spaces like Antenna, and for critical art publications like Pelican Bomb. Marjorie earned her MA in Art History from Tulane University, with a focus in postwar American art, and her BA in Art History from the College of Charleston in 2016.

Rawle is most interested in conceptual work, long term research-based projects, and work that thinks critically about or challenges the traditional boundaries of the medium itself.
