Consultant, Founder of Schneider Gallery

Martha Schneider studied 20th Century Art History at the University of Buenos Aires and came to the US in 1964. She worked for 5 years in the Photography Department at the Art Institute of Chicago. She founded Schneider Gallery in Chicago in 1982 where she exclusively showed photography from 1989 to 2019 when she closed the gallery to focus on other projects. She has reviewed at FotoFest in Houston for the past 26 years, Photolucida, Review Sante Fe, SPE in Chicago and numerous other local and national review events. She recently juried Portraits 2016 at the Center for Fine Art Photography.  Martha continues to work with artists as a consultant.

She prefers to review portraiture but is open to all forms of photography.
